Passionate About Building Strong Communities Through Strong Businesses
I always wanted to build things. As a child, I used to look at the skyscrapers in Auckland, New Zealand and imagine what it must be like as an architect to design something with such a profound lasting legacy. While my natural penchant for maths led me down a different career path, my passion for building things never changed. I see corporate advisory and private equity investing as powerful tools with which to build the very businesses that go on to define a community, an economy, and the world.
After graduating from the University of Melbourne with a degree in Commerce and Honors in Finance, I began my career on the corporate advisory team at Lazard where I was involved in more than $40BN of M&A, capital raising, and restructuring transactions for governments, public and private companies, and private funds. I went on to run the family foundation and private investment vehicle for John Wylie, the former Head of Corporate Advisory of Lazard Australia and Chairman of the Australian Sports Commission. Most recently, I was a Director at Annuity Infrastructure Company Limited, a startup global infrastructure fund manager founded by Graeme Bevans, the architect of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board’s infrastructure team and current CEO of Atlas Arteria. I am also the co-founder of Complect, a marketplace platform connecting financial services firms with experienced financial regulatory compliance specialists for one off projects or full time roles.
Companies and communities who work with me draw on my decade plus of investment banking and principal investment experience across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States, and my dedication to creating investor ready businesses that help create thriving communities.
